D-DAY... not sure but it's less than 2 weeks...

watched stardust and liked it so much i went searching for the book. that lead me on a crazy goose chase from kangnam to jamshil to bundang. eventually i found it, and i'm actually not sure that so far i like the book more. the details i found fun about the movie - well, some of them are rearranged or not in the book. and the book... i dunno, it's more crude than i expected. hmm.

so not going to china but definitely going to japan. gotta start planning that trip. and to make up for china, my mom promised me some tickets for musicals. as if that could make it up, but it helps just a little.

went to everland (the closest thing to magic mountain in korea, and it's not even close), and ended up getting really sick and puking. no joke. i'm such weak sauce now. what happened?

so ready to just lie down and sleep. so tired all the time.

straightened my hair so now i'm doing some strange impersonation of cleopatra minus all the beauty. need to wash my hair so some of the volume will return.

D-DAY 19

there's a guy in my bible study group whose father named his english name after denny's (yes, the restaurant) and his korean name after jackie chan (which, the korean version is 성룡). i thought it was incredibly funny that jackie chan has a restaurant chain in korea called jackie's kitchen. a friend and i were practically rolling on the floor with laughter when i pointed that out. my hit joke of the day

on the other hand, i made another joke that only i found funny (as always) and now everyone in my group thinks i'm hella weird (because i pretended to be normal the first couple of sessions). it was something about how God turns staffs into snakes for moses and if he were to do that these days and say turn a pen into something... and here i shouted out "worm!"

i dunno, i couldn't stop chortling until the end of the bible study session.

D-DAY 33

(until the return to the US)

a friend's significant other said to her, "i can't stop thinking about you." i didn't even realize that people still said that in real life. i'm so jealous.
